God will guide Tinubu to lead Nigeria until 2031 – Umahi
Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, has expressed confidence that God will continue to guide President Bola Tinubu as he leads Nigeria and advances the country’s development agenda through 2031.
Umahi made the remarks on Thursday during an inspection tour of ongoing bridge projects in Lagos State. The projects include the Carter Bridge, whose reconstruction will begin next week.
The minister said he believes God will continue to support Tinubu in tackling the nation’s challenges, especially insecurity.
“The same God that brought him is going to be there to solve all the problems,” Umahi said.
He urged Nigerians to support the administration and cooperate with government efforts to address security challenges and promote national development.
According to him, no leader wants instability during his tenure. However, every responsible government must confront challenges whenever they arise.
“There is no leader who will not want his reign to be peaceful, but when crises come, the leader must confront them. That is exactly what we are doing,” he said.
He said he remains confident that Tinubu will overcome the country’s security challenges. He added that the President has the wisdom and strength needed to address national issues.
The minister also expressed optimism that the administration will complete all the projects it started.
“Your hands that have started this will complete it,” he said.
Umahi added that he believes God continues to favour Tinubu’s leadership.
Speaking on the Carter Bridge project, Umahi said contractors will begin reconstruction work next week.
He disclosed that the government plans to complete the project within three years.
“It is within our five-year plan,” he added.
