Enenche Enenche

For four consecutive years, acclaimed National Comedy Adviser to any sitting president, Enenche Obonyilo Peters, famously known as Enenche De Comedian, has made the list of young Idoma guys to watch in the New Year.

Enenche remains an unequal match as far as comedy and MC in Idomaland and Benue State at large is concerned.

He was up and doing the previous year where he headlined high profile events in Nigeria and beyond.

This Idoma-born comic merchant has natural sense of humour mixed with the flavour of a learned intellectual who observes daily human struggles and lifestyles and convert them into stomach tearing jokes that leaves his fans in the state of euphoria and experience of joy and hope.

Naomi D’Diva

The year 2019 was not bad for this Idoma-born queen of microphone after all.

Miss Oboyi dropped her debut album entitled Beautified by Grace amid plaudits by gospel music fans.

No doubt, this Queen of Mic from Otukpo broke into the list of B-list top radio presenters in Abuja with her unique stage-style and honey-baked voice.

Ikwumonu Empress

The year 2019 was indeed a busy but indeed ended well for thus budding Idoma-born thespian,  Ene Conform Ikwumonu (Empress).

At the tail end of 2019, she was crowned the most Outstanding Idoma Actress at the  Auke National Conference. An award that was keenly contested.

The leggy thespian who had dazzled in many chartbusting flicks has gradually become a household name in the make believe industry, globally known as Nollywood.

Ikwumonu has wowed in many top movie such as: Saved, Lady of Honour, Village Juju, Odowura, The New Village Headmaster, Going West, Crossroads, Comfort Zone, Mama Africa and many more.

MC Smart

He is fans’ favourite. One thing that keeps this young man going and outstanding is the passion he has for the job. He has the ability to rip your stomach into two with laughter. This most-sought after MC has been a hot cake for event planners within the last 12 months. His career has taken him off the shores of Nigeria to London where he staged one of the most successful shows.

Moses Simon

Moses Daddy-Ajala Simon, this son of retired soldier from Obagaji, Agatu in Idoma land is another big fish in a big river. In 2019, he wore the green and white shirt for the national team in all their national assignments as a striker.

He currently plies his trade a forward for Ligue 1 side Nantes, on loan from Levante where he has already netted twice. He didn’t disappoint on the pitch in 2019 and sure he hasn’t failed in 2020. Keep a tab on him.

Archi

Fondly called the 21star lyrical general, social media enthusiast and singer, Isreal Achichi, otherwise known as Archi is a man to watch this year 2020, doubt it at your own peril. If not for anything, the singer captured the heart of African women with the single he dropped towards the tail end of 2016 entitled Amazing Ma and trended heavily till 2019. The song, widely accepted by African mothers is currently enjoying massive airplay on radio stations across the nation. He is currently working on the video.

He prides himself as god lover, proud father, singer songwriter, photographer, web & app master, ethical hacker (Whatever that means).

In November, he dropped a hot single entitled Worst than Delilah. Once a general is always a general.

El-Joe Onoja

Singer-songwriter and dynamic worshiper leader, ELjoe Onoja, is a blessing to his generation. He has a golden voice that reminds one of the very best of Thomas A Dorsey.

His song, Hallelujah, released in 2018 was an anthem on many radio and TV stations across the country.

He dropped another single entitled “Manifest Yourself” early last year and was also a hit.

Owie Abutu

He is the rave of the moment. His song, Halleluyah, from his latest album, Pages of My Heart is like a street anthem in the gospel music terrain.  Owie Abutu is of the opinion that with music, one can change this world for Jehovah.

Meddy Emmanuel Olotu

Give it to him; he’s our own version of Phino or Olamide put together. ‘Idoma rhymes no easy, how you take dey get them,” he asked in one of his songs tagged Duwa.

Talented, dogged and energetic, Meddy is always in the news for good reason.

The singer, who parades other hit singles such as ‘Otukpo Na our Lagos’ ‘Epepe, among others, has sure wowed in 2020.
