Many feared dead as gunmen attack police patrol team at Akai Effa, Cross River
Gunmen on Thursday attacked a police patrol team stationed at Akai Effa roundabout, Cross River State.
It was learnt that some policemen were shot dead and their ammunition were carted away by the gunmen.
There has been a rise in attacks on Police personnel in recent days. Less than 48 hours ago Hoodlums invaded the Nigerian Police Divisional Headquarters, in Abayi Osisioma Ngwa, Aba in Abia state, killing two policemen.
