Gaav group honours Akase

Gyaikor Seven Support Initiative, G7i, a group of elite sons and daughters from the seven council wards of Gaav, Konshisha Local Government Area, has conferred an Outstanding Service Award on frontline Benue State governorship aspirant, Mr Terver Akase.

The award ceremony took place Monday (December 27) at the End of the Year Get-Together Dinner/Award Night organized by the Association in Makurdi the State capital.

G7i which is a non-political organization said the award to Mr Akase was in recognition of his sterling performance, while he served as Chief Press Secretary to the Benue State Governor.

Responding after receiving the award, Mr Akase thanked officials and organizers of the event for finding him deserving of the honour, saying as a member of the Association, he would do all within his reach to support and promote its objectives.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP 2023 guber hopeful said he is in the governorship race to serve the State, mentioning security, job creation and agriculture as some of the areas of focus of his blueprint.

He appealed to the Association’s members to work in harmony for the emergence of one of their own as Governor of the State in 2023.

Earlier, President, Gyaikor Seven Support Initiative, G7i, Professor Gabriel Akume said the Association aims at connecting members of Gaav, harnessing their resources and supporting members, stating that the objectives were being achieved.

Other award recipients were, Engineer Akure Chia, Mr Solomon Iorlumun Gbinde, Hon Architect Aker Vishigh Mark-M, Professor Godwin Terver Jombo, and Mr Nathaniel Terkura Igba.
