BREAKING: Protest rocks UNIJOS over school fees hike

Published

on

Students from the University of Jos in Plateau State staged a protest by blocking roads leading to the campus. Their demonstration was prompted by the recent increase in school fees and other services provided by the university.

The students, organized by the leaders of the Students Union Government, demanded an immediate reversal of the raised school fees and other associated costs.

They carried placards bearing various slogans, including “If your children can afford the money, we can’t” and “We don’t want to drop out of school,” among others.

The protesting students argued that Nigerians were already facing significant hardships, and they called on the authorities not to exacerbate the already challenging situation with additional fee hikes.

Further details will be provided later as the situation develops.
