Oche G12 sets to give international scholarship to Adoka natives, others (Photos)

There was great euphoria in Ai-Eya Adoka, Sunday February 9th, 2020 as Hon. Oche Joseph Godwin, the founder of G12 Foundation and Hon. George Alli, the Chairmanship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) felicitated with the people as they mark their annual Eje-Aje Festival (Ej’Alekwu K’Adoka).

The event which was chaired by Hon. Oche G12 had over 3000 persons in attendance.

The CEO of the foremost humanitarian organization, G12 Foundation, Hon. Oche while giving his speech at the event said he is a complete son of the Adoka community, adding that the Och’Adoka who doubles as the Ad’Otukpo, HRH Chief Samuel Awulu have always gave him the necessary love, support and advise a father gives his son at all times.

He went further to say that his Foundation is determine to do more for the Adoka people in addition to the empowerment training, disbursement and electrification project already carried out in the area.

In his words: “By the special grace of God, we’ll include people from Adoka in the next batch of students to be giving international scholarship to study abroad.

Recall, Oche G12 is currently training 5 Idoma children at the prestigious Les Cours Sonou University, Contonou in Benin Republic.

“I also want to use this privilege to appeal to everyone here to join hands with our Chief to make the next year’s festival more successful by adding more colors and programme like featuring of Idoma sons and daughters who are doing very great in the entertainment industry to grace the occasion. We have very talented people across the Idoma Nation and i think it will be nice if give them podium to showcase themselves. We have more talented people like 2 face Idibia, black face, Terry G, Magnito, Meddy who are yet to be discovered.

“May the good Lord who have brought us together today continue to guide and protect us now and always and bless our businesses.” He added.

Hon. Chief George Alli on his path thanked the Och’Adoka and the Adoka people for supporting his government over the years as he point out some notable projects he did earlier which consist of the primary school block he built and donated to the Adoka people and the hospital he rehabilitated at Ai-Eya while he was the caretaker chairman of the LGA.

Alli also revealed that he his currently electrifying the Adoka main market that was built not long ago at the center saying “in no distance time from now, we’ll complete the electrification project of the Adoka market.” He said.

Other dignitaries who spoke includes: Paul Harris Ogbole, SAN who was sent a representative and Mrs Ada Frederick Okwori, Hon. Mike Audu amongst others.
