Career:

Before venturing into politics, Adegboyega Oyetola had a successful career in the private sector. He worked as an insurance broker and financial expert, gaining valuable experience in the business world.

Political Career: Adegboyega Oyetola’s political journey began when he joined the Alliance for Democracy (AD) in the early 2000s. He was a key member of the team that worked on the successful governorship campaign of Bisi Akande, who became the Governor of Osun State in 1999.

He continued to be actively involved in Osun State politics and the All Progressives Congress (APC), which was formed in 2013. In the build-up to the 2018 gubernatorial election in Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola emerged as the APC’s candidate after a competitive primary election.

Governorship:

Adegboyega Oyetola won the Osun State gubernatorial election held in September 2018. He took office as the Governor of Osun State on November 27, 2018, succeeding Rauf Aregbesola.

As Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola has focused on various developmental initiatives and projects aimed at improving the welfare and infrastructure of the state. He has been committed to education, healthcare, agriculture, and security, among other areas of governance.
