The Convener of Peoples Power of Nigeria (PPN), Apostle (Dr) Saint Gbilekaa Abrahams, wants President Muhammadu Buhari led Federal Government of Nigeria to know that the concerns raised by Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom over insecurity in the country and threats to his life represent the feelings of majority of Nigerians.

Apostle Gbilekaa who is also the General Manager and Chief Executive Officer of the Benue State Urban Development Board Makurdi, stated this in Gboko while fielding questions from newsmen.

The Former Ushongo Local Government Council Chairman who unequivocally declared that no one has the monopoly of violence, faulted the continuous silence of
President Buhari regarding Governor Ortom’s public outcry over his personal threat to life, warning that if anything untoward happens to the Governor, the Federal Government should be prepared to face the wrath of the people.

The Convener and Coordinator of End of Discussion for Ortom’s Zone-B, Senate 2023 called on the President to, as a matter of urgency, detail his security chiefs to look into Governor Ortom’s concerns, instead of victimizing him.

He stated further that as the Chief Executive Officer of a State, Governor Ortom has the constitutional right to air his views on issues concerning those he has sworn to protect.

The Convener of UBAMATICS MOVEMENT 2023 declared that President Buhari’s government is witch-hunting and persecuting Governor Ortom because of his dogged stand against open grazing of cattle.

Gbilekaa further called on Nigerian progressives to rise up in their numbers in defending one of their own who is being victimized by the President Buhari’s government.

He similarly reminded President Buhari of the oath he took to protect lives and property of citizens of this country, irrespective of political party affiliations.

The veteran journalist wondered how the government of President Buhari will subject Governor Ortom and the entire people of Benue State to untold hardship beginning from 2015 to date, and wondered whether the people of the state are considered second class or third class citizens in their country.
