AFCON 2025: 24 countries qualify for tournament (FULL LIST)

The lineup for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) is now complete, with Mozambique securing the final spot after a 2-1 victory over Guinea-Bissau.

The tournament, scheduled to kick off in December next year, will be hosted by Morocco, who automatically qualify as the host nation.

The competition will showcase a dynamic mix of established football powerhouses and emerging teams, all aiming to make an impact on the continental stage.

Among the nations that have qualified are former champions such as Senegal, Algeria, Egypt, and defending champions Côte d’Ivoire, all of whom delivered impressive performances during the qualifiers.

Other notable teams, including Nigeria, Tunisia, and South Africa, also secured their places, ensuring the participation of some of Africa’s most renowned footballing nations.

The tournament also sees the return of teams like DR Congo, Angola, and Gabon, while Botswana makes a much-anticipated comeback after a 12-year absence.

Sudan and Benin clinched their places on the final day of qualifiers, adding an extra layer of excitement to the qualification process.
