BREAKING: El-Rufai loses mother
Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, has been thrown into mourning following the death of his mother, Hajiya Umma, who passed away on Friday.
The El-Rufai family confirmed her passing in a statement released the same day.
Sources within the family disclosed that the late Hajiya Umma had been dealing with age-related health issues that had recently taken a turn for the worse.
They further revealed that her condition reportedly declined after she became aware of her son’s detention by the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission.
According to the sources, El-Rufai had been personally overseeing his mother’s care before her death.
The family offered prayers, asking Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings and grant her Aljannatul Firdaus.
