How to apply for Nigeria police force recruitment 2023

The Nigeria Police Force has officially announced its 2023 recruitment for the position of constable (recruits). The Police Service Commission, in collaboration with the Force, released this information through an official bulletin shared on the Force X handle.

Here are the key details for prospective applicants:

  1. Application Period: An online application portal will be open for six weeks, from October 15th to November 26th, 2023.

  2. Application Procedure: Prospective candidates are required to complete the online application forms and submit them within the specified period. The application portal is accessible to both male and female applicants and can be found at www.apply.policerecruitment.gov.ng.

  3. General Requirements: Applicants must meet the following criteria:

    • Be of Nigerian origin by birth.
    • Possess a National Identification Number (NIN).
    • Hold a minimum of four credits in not more than two sittings, either in WASSCE/SSCE or their equivalent, with credits in English and Mathematics.
    • Be aged between 18 and 25 years.
    • Be medically, physically, and psychologically fit.
    • Meet the height requirements, which are a minimum of 1.67m for males and 1.64m for females.
    • Female applicants must not be pregnant at the time of entry.
    • Possess a valid email address and phone number.
    • Note that SSCE statements of results or certificates relating to examinations taken before 2014 will not be accepted.
  4. Selection Process: Invitations for further screening will be extended only to those who meet the online registration requirements. The automated physical screening exercise will be conducted nationwide, with the date to be communicated at a later time.

How to Apply:

  1. Visit www.apply.policerecruitment.gov.ng and provide your NIN, email, and phone number.
  2. Complete the application form on the portal.
  3. Upload your O’level results, birth certificate, and certificate of origin.
  4. Print the completed online form and guarantor form, then submit them during the physical or credential screening exercise.
