Fresh facts have emerged over the refusal of President Muhammadu Buhari’s refusal to renominate Audu Ogbeh as minister in his new cabinet.

Ogbeh headed the ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for four years.

A source hinted our reporter that Ogbeh was in February informed that he was not going to return in the second term of Buhari.

”The truth is that President Buhari was not happy with the performance of Ogbeh in the ministry of agriculture.

” You know, Ogbeh is 71 years and one of the oldest minister in Buhari’s first tenure.

“Baba did that to percify the Tiv people, who has been crying marginaliztion under the current government.

“Just to balance it and counter that notion in some quarters that he doesn’t like Tivs.

” Four years for the Idoma and a other four years for Tiv.”

Asked why no Igede person was considered for the ministerial position, the source said a former lawmaker from the place has been penned down for appointment into one of the Federal Government agencies.

However, another source within the camp of the president hinted this newspaper that some members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state had written a petition against Ogbeh, claiming that he worked against the ruling party in the last election.

This is evident because Ogbeh could not deliver his ward, Ogbadibo LGA, his senatorial district as well as the state during the election.

“Some believe he worked against the party in the last election.

” But I assure you, he would get another juicy appointment.”
