23-year-old Jerome Akor, has clinched the title of Montpellier Player of the Month for October. This prestigious recognition comes on the heels of Akor’s remarkable performance in the French Ligue 1.

Throughout the month of October, Akor showcased his goal-scoring prowess by finding the back of the net four times in just three league matches while donning the La Paillade jersey.

This incredible feat solidified his claim to the coveted award.

In his bid for the Player of the Month title, Jerome Akor faced stiff competition from fellow Montpellier teammates, Joris Chotard and Mousa Tamari.

However, his remarkable contributions on the field set him apart, ultimately earning him the honor.

Akor, a Nigerian striker, has been in scintillating form this season, amassing a total of seven goals in just nine league appearances for Montpellier.
His latest standout performance saw him net a brace in Montpellier’s resounding 3-0 victory against Toulouse in their most recent fixture.

Jerome Akor’s journey to Montpellier began this summer when he made the switch from the Norwegian club, Lillestrom. Notably, he also has a history of representing Nigeria at the U-20 level, further adding to his burgeoning reputation as a promising football talent.
