Tinubu returns to Nigeria after official visits to France, South Africa

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after completing official visits to France and South Africa, where he co-chaired the 11th Bi-National Commission in Cape Town.

IDOMA VOICE reports that the president’s plane touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja around 9:10 pm on Wednesday.

Tinubu’s trip began last Wednesday with a state visit to France, upon the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron. The visit focused on strengthening bilateral relations, with discussions covering sectors such as agriculture, security, education, health, youth development, employment, innovation, and energy transition.

Following his three-day stay in France, Tinubu proceeded to South Africa on Monday, where he co-chaired the Nigeria-South Africa Bi-National Commission alongside South African President Cyril Ramaphosa. During the meeting, Tinubu called for deeper collaboration between the two nations. He also acknowledged the contributions of South African companies like MTN and MultiChoice to Nigeria’s economy, while praising Nigerian companies such as the Dangote Group and Access Bank for their achievements in South Africa.
