BREAKING: FG explains why it suspended online recruitment for Civil Defence, Fire, Immigration, Correctional Services
The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Service Board (CDCFIB) has announced a temporary suspension of online recruitment for applicants to paramilitary agencies until July 21.
Retired Maj.-Gen. Abdulmalik Jubril, Secretary to the Board, issued a statement on Thursday, stating that the pause aims to enhance the efficiency of the recruitment portal at [https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng](https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng).
“This decision is intended to ensure the portal can handle the high volume of applications, ensuring a smooth, transparent, and equitable recruitment process,” Jubril remarked.
“We appreciate the eagerness and commitment of Nigerian youths to contribute to these essential agencies,” he added.
Initially scheduled to begin on July 2 and later rescheduled to July 14, the online recruitment exercise covers vacancies in the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigerian Correctional Service, Nigeria Immigration Service, and Federal Fire Service, as reported by the News Agency of Nigeria
(NAN).
