Former President of the Senate, Senator David Mark, on Monday urged people of Benue South to vote Comrade Abba Moro as his successor in the forthcoming senatorial election.

Mark said it was time for his to step aside having spent 20 years in the Red Chamber and the right person to pick up the baton of leadership from him is Moro.

The Okpokpowulu K’Idoma gave the endorsement on Monday at Obagaji in Agatu LGA at the flag off of his Benue – South governorship rally.

“Before I start, let me ask the Agatu people this simple question: Do you want Fulanis to attack you again? Agatu people answered ‘No!’ corrosively.

“I really love Agatu people because of always keeping promises and I know this time around will not be different. We know PDP will benefit Agatu more than any other party.

“I am calling you to vote for all PDP candidates in the coming election.

“From Atiku, to Ortom, Abba Moro, Adamu Entonu and Abuh Edoh.

“I need to rest and Abba Moro is the right man to take over and I urge you all to support him.”

Mark further disclosed that Ortom was being persecuted because of his principle stand in defence of the Benue People.

In his words, “Governor Ortom is being persecuted today because he is the defender of the people. He should be encouraged to go back and defend us. He will not only defend us but will also ensure that peace prevail in all parts of the state”.

Earlier, the Senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic party, Comrade Abba Moro said ” a vote for PDP is a vote for progress and development”.

He disclosed that apart from several projects initiated and executed by the former president of the Senate, Senator David Mark, the Loko bridge and the Otukp – Oweto road were some of them stressing that the All Progressive Party had no interest in the development of Benue south.

Moro therefore urged the people to remain resolute in their support for PDP.
