French champions Paris Saint-Germain have rejected the chance to sign Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo, 37, is currently eyeing an uncertain future with the Red Devils despite having one year left on his contract at Old Trafford.

The Portugal captain wants to continue playing in the UEFA Champions League and is reportedly considering joining Chelsea this summer.

According ESPNThe five-time Ballon d’Or was offered to PSG by his agent Jorge Mendes, but the French giants refused to sign him.

Reports claim that PSG don’t believe Ronaldo is the right signing at the moment and the club don’t have enough space in their wage bill to pay him.

From a sporting point of view, there are also fears that there is no place for him in the squad, with new manager Christophe Galtier keen to start a season with a back three.

The former Nice manager may already be struggling to find ways to play Neymar, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe together in his preferred formation, so a move for Ronaldo wouldn’t make sense.

Meanwhile, Chelsea boss Tuchel fears the impact the signing will have on his team and believes it may cause him the same problem as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer did at Manchester United last year.

The report claims that Tuchel isn’t convinced Ronaldo can adapt to his style as he plans to exploit a very fluid attacking line next season.

The German boss is worried after seeing how the acquisition of Cristiano has ruined United’s balance and upset their young forwards.

While Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is very excited about the move, knowing the benefits it would bring, it will allow Tuchel to have the final say on any acquisition.

Earlier, sports briefs have reported that Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is determined to keep Cristiano Ronaldo at Old Trafford when the 2022/23 season kicks off.

The Dutch manager is determined to convince the five-time Ballon d’Or winner to change his mind and stay with the Premier League giants after expressing his desire to leave.

According to Caught Offside, Erik ten Hag is keen to work with Cristiano Ronaldo and wants to build his team around the 37-year-old striker.
